Anyone else ever deal with this kind of sudden switch?

So my AC suddenly started blowing warm air yesterday, and it freaked me out because it happened right when the temperature outside hit its highest point of the week. The weird thing is, it was working totally fine two days ago. I checked the thermostat and even changed the batteries just in case, but nothing changed. Before I call someone out, I’m hoping maybe there’s something simple I can look at myself. Anyone else ever deal with this kind of sudden switch?

Yeah, I had the same thing happen last summer, and it drove me nuts for a couple of days. In my case, it turned out the outdoor unit was completely covered in dust and leaves. I didn’t even realize how clogged it was until I went out to check it. After cleaning it and letting the system rest for a bit, the AC started blowing cold again. When I was looking things up, I found a lot of quick troubleshooting tips on Car overheating VIP Service Center official site , especially about checking airflow and blocked coils. Might be worth giving your outside unit a quick look before spending money on a technician.
